Legal challenges related to the use of stem cells in rejuvenation procedures

Abstract

The aim of this article is to analyze the legal challenges related to the use of stem cells in rejuvenation procedures. Given the dynamic development of aesthetic medicine and the growing interest in therapies based on stem cells, it becomes crucial to define the legal framework governing their application. The paper discusses both national regulations and selected international standards concerning the admissibility, safety, and supervision of such procedures. Particular emphasis is placed on issues of legal liability of practitioners, patient protection, and risks arising from insufficient harmonization of legal provisions. The analysis seeks to identify regulatory gaps and possible directions for the development of law in the field of stem cell use in aesthetic medicine.
