Globalization of Poverty and Famine – Diagnosis Attempt

Abstract

The author tries to identify the reasons for the globalization of poverty and
famine. He recalls the reasons for the birth and development of globalization
and then describes the winners and losers in the new process of the global
change. It leads to defining poverty as a lack of resources that are necessary
for permanent survival for an extended period of life. The author defines and
presents such concepts as a subsistence wage, the minimum wage and real
poverty. He also highlights the interdependence of globalization and poverty,
and poverty and the natural environment, which is destroyed by the main
globalization actors.
The fast development of big agglomerations in the world is also a dangerous
phenomenon. According to the author, education is the key to defeat
poverty. The discussion of the issue makes him ask a question how poverty
can be curbed in developing countries. In his opinion, one of the many effective
solutions to the problem is industrialization of developing countries.
