Methods of Economic Management in the European Union – Tendencies of Changes as a Result of the 2008–2010 Crisis

Abstract

The article aims to present selected mechanisms of economy management
in the European Union as well as to examine major tendencies taking
place under the influence of the economic crisis (2008–2010). The author
concentrates especially on the issue of effectiveness of management in the
EU. Moreover, he presents the consequences of changes initiated for the
peripheral countries, i.e. those which are in the Central and Eastern Europe.
